Up or Down?

Here is something I have always wondered...
Why do some men have their cock up and some down when wearing briefs?  You know what I mean?  When some men put on briefs they let the front of the briefs pull their cocks up.  Other men (like me) will pull their briefs away from the front of their body when putting them on so the cock hangs down or slightly to the side.
I don't think the size of the cock matters.  I have seen hung men with the cock up and down, as well as smaller men.  Now I know for most men with real short cocks they usually stick straight out.  By the way I absolutely love that look.  Ain't nothing wrong with a man with a small cock. 
I have found that when I am with a man and his cock is up, I will rearrange it so it is down.  I like the look of a cock laying over balls.  Seeing the outline of his cockhead with nuts on each side is hot to me.  maybe because it puts evrything together so one hand can pull and tug on the complete package. 
Some guys like to have their cocks sucked from the top of the waistband so maybe that's why they leave it up.  I prefer my cock to be sticking out the fly or a leg opening when being sucked in briefs so maybe thats why I leave it down.
